Then you have to try and figure out which signal line is which, it should be relatively easy to identify the different waveforms for the clock line, data line and latch control line on an oscilloscope, but I don't see a reasonable way to do it without one.Īnother approach may be to google something like "nes clone DB9". If you want to continue reverse engineering, the first thing to do is to try and figure out which lines are power and ground, there may be hints on the controller PCB like fatter traces, there may also be hints at the console end.
